Children’s Museum Field Trip – September 4th, 2014

The seventh grade will be taking a field trip to the Children’s Museum in Indianapolis on Thursday, September 4th, 2014.  We will be viewing the Terra Cotta Warriors exhibit, which is one of the major items we studied this year.  The buses will be leaving the school at approximately 8:45 a.m. and will be returning around 12:15 p.m.  It will be important that students arrive to school on time and do not have appointments between those times.

There is no charge for this trip, but all students must have their permission slips turned in by Thursday, August 28th, 2014. We need to have everything collected and in order to completely register with the Children’s Museum.

This is an excellent opportunity for our students, and we look forward to this experience.  As always, we expect the best from our students during outings such as this one.  The students are expected to follow school and museum guidelines at all times.  It will also be expected that students dress appropriately.

We look forward to this opportunity, and we hope that you and your child do as well.  If you have any other questions or concerns, please contact your child’s Social Studies teacher for that as well.

Please join us for a informational meeting about the 8th grade field trip to Washington, D.C.  We will meet in the cafeteria at 6:30pm on Wednesday, August 6.  We will be finished before the start of Meet Your Child’s Teacher Night.

Period 1 7:00-7:10
Period 2 7:15-7:25
Period 3 7:30-7:40
Period 4 7:45-7:55
Period 5 8:00-8:10
Period 6 8:15-8:25
Period 7 8:30-8:40
*8th grade ELA teachers will all meet in the media center (except for Quest/Honors classes)

· Overview of course curriculum
· Classroom expectations regarding student grades, homework completion, daily procedures, etc.
· Contact information to enable parents to communicate with teachers.
