Principal’s Update 2/2/16

  1. We had GCJHS students performed in 64 events at the Solo and Ensemble contest this weekend earning 50 Gold Ratings and 13 Silver ratings! Congratulations!
  1. Congratulations to the 7th and 8th grade boys basketball teams who won the Greensburg tournament last night. We will host the Hancock County tournament this weekend.
  1. The Builders Club is selling t-shirts to support the American Heart Association. Shirts are $10.
  1. The PTO will meet this Wednesday, February 3, at 6 PM in the cafeteria.
  1. We are excited for the science fair tomorrow afternoon! Judging will take place after school until 4:30. Doors will open to parents at 4:30 and awards will be presented at 5:00.

Weekly Reminders:

  1. The GCJHS PTO will have the following two volunteer positions available for the 2016/17 school year.  The position will begin in May.

The President shall serve as leader and key contact for the PTO; preside at all PTO meetings; ex-officio member of most committees; appoint chairpersons for special committees; coordinate the work of the officers and committees so that the PTO’s objectives can be met.

The Vice President shall act as an aide to the President; perform the duties of the President in the absence or inability of that officer to serve; assume other responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Board; coordinate the general activities of any Special Committees created by the Executive Board.
