1. The NWEA assessment window closes Wednesday, December 16.\u00a0 Results will be available in the Powerschool parent portal beginning December 21st<\/span><\/span>. \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
2. The 8th grade band performed Christmas music in the Arts Garden at Circle Center Mall in Indianapolis last week.\u00a0 They made GCJHS proud!!<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
3. The Christmas Music Concert Tuesday night will feature the bands at 6pm<\/span><\/span>, followed by the Strings at 7pm<\/span><\/span> and the Choirs at 7:15pm<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0 Art will also be on display.\u00a0 Admission is $2<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
4.\u00a0 We have a Lost and Found <\/b>table outside the Health classroom, in the main corridor.\u00a0 All unclaimed items will be donated after school on Friday<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
5.\u00a0The Kenneth Butler Memorial Soup Kitchen will be sponsoring a Christmas celebration at the Hancock County Fairgrounds on\u00a0Thursday, December 24th<\/span><\/span>\u00a0from\u00a08am-10am<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0 They are asking that parents\u00a0only<\/u>\u00a0come to the Commercial Building and the Sheep Barn to receive a toy and some\u00a0surprises for their children.\u00a0 Volunteers will be there to gift wrap these items.\u00a0 Then, from\u00a011am- 2:30pm<\/span><\/span>, parents may return with their children for a visit from Santa, a holiday meal, and the opportunity to choose some clothing (if needed).<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Anyone wishing to volunteer with set up (Dec. 22 and 23<\/span><\/span>), or with the festivities and\/or cleanup on the 24th, are asked to contact Pam Hochstetler at 694-6436. \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Anyone with small gifts, clothing, blankets, or sleeping bags to donate are asked to drop those off at the Kenneth Butler Memorial Soup Kitchen, 202 E. Main St., Greenfield.<\/span><\/div>\n

6. We hope you get a chance to enjoy time as a family over Christmas break.\u00a0 The students have worked hard this semester.\u00a0 We’ll get back to work on January 4!<\/span><\/div>\n
