  1. Congratulations to choir members to participated in the solo ensemble contest on Friday<\/span>. There were 49 performances that earned a gold rating!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. Attention 8th grade families: On\u00a0February 22<\/span>, while visiting End Zone in the High School Cafe, be sure to stop by the Library and view project proposals from the EDD students. The is a great opportunity to see the PLTW program in action!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. Friday, February 12<\/span>, the GCJHS student council is hosting Zombie Fest 16, from 3:30pm-5:30pm<\/span>. \u00a0There will be a Valentine Dance and Zombie Hunters Game (Similar to capture the flag) Students should create teams of 5 for the game. The cost is $3 per person in advance or $4 per person after the deadline of Friday at lunch. \u00a0The admission gets students into the game and the dance.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        1. There is a call out meeting for 8th grade boys interested in playing baseball and their parents,\u00a0tonight<\/span> at 6:00pm<\/span><\/strong>in the cafeteria.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          1. GYBA 2016 Spring Season Registrations have began. \u00a0You can Register online at\u00a0www.greenfieldyouthbaseball.com<\/a>or Saturdays in February 9:00 to 12:00<\/span> at Concession Stand.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Weekly Reminders:<\/strong><\/p>\n

            1. \nThe GCJHS PTO will have the following two volunteer positions available for the 2016\/17 school year.\u00a0 The position will begin in May.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              The\u00a0President<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0shall serve as leader and key contact for the PTO; preside at all PTO meetings; ex-officio member of most committees; appoint chairpersons for special committees; coordinate the work of the officers and committees so that the PTO\u2019s objectives can be met.<\/p>\n

              The\u00a0Vice President<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0shall act as an aide to the President; perform the duties of the President in the absence or inability of that officer to serve;\u00a0assume other responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Board; coordinate the general activities of any Special Committees created by the Executive Board.<\/p>\n
