1. \u00a0Wednesday is the Flex-Pilot eLearning Day. \u00a0Students will stay home and work on assignments while teachers have professional development learning at school. \u00a0Teachers will have office hours 12:30-3:30pm<\/span><\/span> for students to call with questions about their assignments. \u00a0In case students have trouble connecting to the internet at home, assignments are due Monday, November 21<\/span><\/span>. \u00a0The Tech Help Desk will be available all day for tech support at (317) 477-4111. \u00a0\u00a0We need to make appropriate arrangements for the day, so if you haven\u2019t RSVP\u2019d for the Flex Pilot eLearning day, please do so! https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSd5o3-H9u2OCvyo8k9co-6J0m2IfNLVQblG70EQbtNNHH7ezA\/viewform<\/a><\/div>\n

2. \u00a0Friday, November 18th<\/span><\/span> the GCJHS PTO will be hosting it’s 2nd annual Family Trivia Night. Families or friend groups can reserve a table, order a pizza and play a fun game of trivia and compete with other GCJHS families and staff. Indy’s Live Trivia will be here to stump us and keep us entertained!<\/div>\n
Please register your family at the following link. \u00a0On that link you can also pre-order pizza! \u00a0The concession stand will be open with pizza-by-the-slice, candy, soda, desserts and other snacks! You won’t want to miss this fun night! Pre-orders are encouraged and are the most economical!<\/div>\n

3. Girls basketball tryouts\u00a0for both 7th<\/sup>\u00a0and 8th<\/sup>\u00a0grade teams, will be\u00a0Monday Nov 28 through Wednesday Nov 30<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0at GIS. \u00a0More details will be announced at school.<\/div>\n

Tips for School Success<\/strong><\/div>\n
Students sometimes have trouble with time management at this stage in life. \u00a0It\u2019s important to develop a plan and you can help! \u00a0Have your child make a list of assignments he\/she needs to get done. \u00a0It\u2019s fun to cross the items off the list as they are completed and it keeps them on task. \u00a0If something seems overwhelming, have him\/her break it into small parts. \u00a0Make sure your child does the most challenging assignments first while he\/she is still fresh and alert. \u00a0Set goals and rewards (If I study for 30 minutes, I get to play video games for 30 minutes).<\/div>\n

    Students can be dropped off to wait outside in the morning. \u00a0The doors to the building will be open beginning at 8:20 a.m.<\/span><\/span> each day. \u00a0If temperatures dip below freezing, students will be permitted to come into the building beginning at 8:00 a.m.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n

    Breakfast is available for $1.75, to students every school day, at 8:20 a.m.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n

    Textbook Fees can be turned in to the front office. \u00a07th Grade fees are $150.26 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a08th Grade fees are $149.47 \u00a0Credit\/Debit cards will be accepted, in person, until November 30<\/span><\/span>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
