<\/p>\n

1. \u00a0Don’t know what to get your GCJHS student for Christmas? \u00a0How about buying them their yearbook<\/b> at a discounted price. \u00a0Now until December 31st<\/span><\/span>, the 2017 GCJHS yearbook is only $25.00. \u00a0The price goes up January 1st<\/span><\/span>, so get your yearbook now. \u00a0You may order online at https:\/\/yearbookforever.com<\/a> or you can fill out the attached order form and send it to school.<\/div>\n

2. NWEA Testing<\/b> begins on Wednesday, November 30<\/span><\/span>. \u00a0Teachers and students get individual results within a couple of days and school wide results before the end of the semester. \u00a0We will use this information to gauge student growth, and determine placement for ISTEP Boost classes and remediation.<\/div>\n

3. On December 21st<\/span><\/span>, we will have our first ever APE day (Academic Progress is for Everyone.) \u00a0Students become eligible for APE day by improving in two or more NWEA testing areas or, students testing above grade level, must maintain that status. \u00a0Improvement is one point or more in growth. \u00a0Students who qualify for APE day will spend a few hours participating in activities such as Karaoke, cornhole, games and raffles.<\/div>\n

4. Girls basketball<\/b> tryouts are Wednesday<\/span><\/span>, Thursday<\/span><\/span> and Friday this week<\/span><\/span> at Greenfield Intermediate School. \u00a08th Grade will practice 4:30pm-6pm<\/span><\/span> and 7th grade will practice 6pm-8pm<\/span><\/span>.<\/div>\n

5. Wrestling<\/b> practice begins after school today.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
6. \u00a0Wednesday<\/span><\/span> is the last day to pay book fees<\/b> by debit\/credit card. \u00a0We can still accept check and cash for fees after Wednesday<\/span><\/span>. Contact treasurer Jan Mitchell <\/a>with questions.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
7. Attention Washington D.C. Trip<\/b> Parents:\u00a02nd payments were due November 15th.\u00a0If you have not made a payment toward the trip by December 8<\/span><\/span>, the student and\/or chaperone will be removed from the trip. We have to lock in the hotel rooms and buses by that day. Yankee Candle profits will not be applied to accounts until late December or early January. Those with a surplus in their accounts would be eligible for refunds in the spring. If everyone currently on the list stays on the list, this will be the largest group Greenfield Central Junior High has ever taken! There are still some Yankee Candles<\/b> orders to be picked up. Contact Mrs. Greene<\/a> to arrange pick-up of large orders.<\/div>\n

8. We will run our Toys for Tots Drive 11\/28-12\/9. \u00a0Students can bring a new, unwrapped toy to 1st period. Two toys earns one free admission to the Christmas Party & Dance on Friday, December 9<\/span><\/span> 3:30-5:00pm<\/span><\/span>.<\/div>\n

    Students can be dropped off to wait outside in the morning. \u00a0The doors to the building will be open beginning at 8:20 a.m.<\/span><\/span> each day. \u00a0If temperatures dip below freezing, students will be permitted to come into the building beginning at 8:00 a.m.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n

    Breakfast is available for $1.75, to students every school day, at 8:20 a.m.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n

    Textbook Fees can be turned in to the front office. \u00a07th Grade fees are $150.26 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a08th Grade fees are $149.47 \u00a0Credit\/Debit cards will be accepted, in person, until November 30<\/span><\/span>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
