Students are encouraged to wear purple and show kindness throughout the day.\u00a0 The AOK Club has several events planned for the day including:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">Inspirational post-its on lockers<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">candy passed out, wishing students a \u201csweet day\u201d<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\u201cBe the Nice Kid\u201d posters displayed around the building<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">a new instagram account &#8211; #BeTheNiceKidGCJHS<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">a lunch-time positive postal system where students can encourage each other with Smile-O-Grams<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">the sale of t-shirts and wristbands at lunch with the hashtag #BeTheNiceKidGCJHS<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">Kindness bookmarks passed out in the library<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">a calendar with a month of kind deeds for November<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">motivational speaker, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jerryackerman.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/www.jerryackerman.net\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1542145782829000&amp;usg=AFQjCNGx6AlJseZi-ZnsO7Q-rpRgAlHAmQ\">Jerry Ackerman<\/a>, at the end of the day.\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" value = \"2\">Several 8th grade students from our College and Careers class will be presenting some their work at the school board meeting tonight.\u00a0 We will also be recognizing the 8th grade band students who participated in the high school marching band contest. The board meeting begins at 7pm in the GCJHS cafeteria.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">If you missed the 7th Grade Trip to Chicago information meeting you can still get your child signed up through Grueninger Tour Company.
