1. This is ISTEP week! We start tomorrow. Here is the schedule:
March 1- 7th Grade ELA Test (8:35-11:15)
March 2- 8th Grade ELA Test (8:35-11:15)
March 3- 7th and 8th Grade Math Test (8:35-9:30)
7th Grade Social Studies Test (9:30-10:25)
March 4- Biology I Test (8th Graders in Biology) (8:35-9:30)
March 7- Book II Test for 7th and 8th Grades
2. Here are the remaining spirit days for ISTEP:
March 1 – PJ pants/Joggers for 7th Grade (feeling comfortable to write the test!)
– Blue and Gold for 8th grade (cheer on the 7th graders!)
March 2 – Blue and Gold for 7th Grade (Cheer on the 8th graders!)
– PJ pants/Joggers for 8th Grade (feeling comfortable to write the test!)
March 3 – Black and White Day- Finish Strong!
March 4 – Neon Day
3. Parents of 8th graders should now be able to login in to PowerSchool to set up appointments with high school counselors to plan for next year.
4. Congratulations to Shaun M. who will qualified to compete at State in Geography Bee.
5. Congratulations to Emma H. who qualified for Nationals in FCCLA competition.
6. Yearbooks are still on sale and are $27.00. You can write a check payable to GCJHS and send it in with your student or you can order online at yearbookforever.com.
Mrs. Scott also needs pictures of eighth graders for the slide show at the end of the year. We know parents and students are always snapping pictures at events. Please send pictures to [email protected].
