Principal’s Update 3/6/17
We have just one week left in the quarter! We will be busy this week making up missed ISTEP tests and preparing for Quarterly Assessments. Students should be studying a little each night in preparation for the tests beginning on Thursday.

News:
1. Congratulations to the 8th grade Jazz Band for earning a Gold Rating at the ISSMA Jazz Festival. Katie S. and Maggie D. were also recognized as outstanding soloists.
2. Auditions for GCJHS Drama production of ‘Young Sherlock’ will be held in the choir room on Tuesday, March 7th from 3:30-5:00pm. Students can pick up information outside the Choir room.
3. The Student Council is sponsoring March Madness Dodgeball Tournament after school on Thursday. Students can create teams of six and compete in a bracket-style tournament. Entry fees are $3 per person.

Breakfast is available for $1.75, to students every school day, at 8:20 a.m.

Please remember to check your child’s lunch account regularly. The cashiers remind students when accounts are getting low. You can log in to https://www.ezschoolpay.com/Login.aspx to manage lunch accounts and set a notification for low balances. Students can also make deposits into their accounts with cash or checks in the lunch line.
Students will be permitted to come into the building beginning at 8:20 a.m. each morning. FOCUS (homework help) is available every day, starting at 7:30a.m. in room B151
